Ruff Cuts - mobile dog wash and grooming

Ruff Cuts provides mobile dog washing and grooming in the greater Nelson area. I visit properties in Nelson, Richmond, Motueka, Takaka and throughout the surrounding areas.

My specially designed van is a fully equipped grooming salon on wheels.

It has full air-conditioning, so it's warm in winter and cool in summer.

It has a warm hydrobath that massages shampoo deep into the coat.

And it has high velocity dryers so your dog's undercoat is maintained and they come out clean and fresh.

All in all your dog has a comfortable, relaxed experience right outside their home.

All I need is somewhere flat to park in your driveway near your house. I connect my power cable into one of your house or shed plugs and my hose to your garden tap. Then I do everything else.

Services

Wash - wash, blow dry, brush, ear check, nail clip, deodorise.
 
Groom - all of the Wash services PLUS a megabrush for double coated breeds eg. Shepherds, Shelties, Collies, Huskies, Spitz, Poms and some Terriers. This removes loose hair and reduces shedding dramatically - well worth it if your dog is shedding.
 
Tidy - a maintenance service for longer haired dogs that are not ready for a full clip. This consists of all the Wash services, PLUS face, feet, bottom and tummy tidied up.
 
Clip - an all over spruce up for longer haired dogs. It consists of all of the Tidy services PLUS a body and face clip.

Prices

My charges depend on how long it takes to wash and groom your dog. For example, if your dog has a dense or long coat it takes longer to wash and dry them than a dog with a smooth coat. Also, a larger dog takes longer than a small dog.

As an indication, prices start at $30 for a Wash, $45 for a Tidy, and $60 for a Clip for small dogs with a smooth or fine coat. But call or text me on 0277 789 798 and give me an indication of your dog's breed and your location I can give you a fairly accurate price.

Note: if your dog is matted or aggressive they will take longer and therefore will incur extra charges.

Ruff Cuts is owned by me, Gay Hamilton. I trained in Melbourne at the Australian Dog Grooming School, where I later worked before setting up my own mobile business servicing the northern suburbs in Melbourne.

I've now returned home and look forward to getting to know you and your hairy best mate :)
